Rattle Kan Rides Meeting August 19, 2009.    

Location: Low Town and his lovely wife Lady D’s pad.

Rattle Kan Rides is officially approved by the State and is incorporated. Still need to get the 501(c)3 filed with IRS. But we are officially on our way!

Topics Presented by Rattle Kan Daddy:

1. Rattle Kan Daddy read minutes from last meeting to update Low Town.
2. Board members all voted in!
3. Voted in new members.
   1. Bugs with his Chrysler 300 Bling Bling.
   2. Slim with his Corvette White Lightning.
   3. The Dale with his Jeep Jeepers Creepers.
4. Treasurer update.
   1. As of date $91 was raised from garage sale for the last three weeks.
   2. Bank of choice is Chase.
   3. A portion of funds are going to be used to get the logo set up with embroider.
5. Logo was voted in.
   1. Font is ready to be digitized.
   2. John to set up appointment with Jessica.
   3. Final approval of shape and color of logo to be voted on next meeting.
   4. Member’s names to be in Script font to be voted on next meeting.
   5. Men’s names in blue and Ladies’ names in pink voted on and passed.
   6. Motion from Low Town to have the card suit represent level of membership in the organization.  To be voted on in next meeting. Board members to be represented by the Ace with a King for men and an Ace and Queen for the ladies. New members will start with a Joker and earn their suite by their involvement and donation of time.
6. Discussion on first event.
   1. Motion from Smiley to find a city park that needs graffiti clean up. Find a painter that is willing to donate paint. Then have a BBQ for all attendees afterwards.
   2. Motion from Low Town to have an event that displays boards that can be rattle kaned on by anyone. Have a skilled rattle kanner to help show the correct use of spray-paints and techniques for rattle kan art. Discuss the consequences of illegal tagging.
   3. Motion from Rattle Kan Daddy to have a booth set up at an event like Lincoln Live and have a representative from the SPD to discuss and have handouts for the attendees on the legal & illegal use of spray paint and consequences of illegal tagging.  (Need to find out if member Slim can represent the SPD for this booth).
7. Items that still need to be addressed
   1. Joining the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce.
   2. Still need to obtain a white board for meetings.
   3. Need to get a container for donations from swearing at meetings.
